Chimney Problems
Recoloring masonry is a process that permanently colors brick and stone building materials to match surrounding masonry. For example, if you’ve added a room addition or need to replace damaged bricks, it’s not unusual for the new bricks to be a different color than the original ones. Recoloring ensures that the new bricks match the old ones for a seamless addition or repair.
We use high quality masonry recoloring products that form a mineral bond rather than an adhesive bond such as paint. This means that the coloring on your recolored bricks will not peel, blister, or crack. Plus, the coloring allows the bricks to “breath” and does not trap water.
Bricks as well as mortar can be recolored. You can recolor bricks alone without affecting the mortar, the mortar without affecting the bricks, or recolor bricks and mortar together for a completely new look.
When to Recolor Bricks
